Catalão Mine

Encardio Rite, in collaboration with Terratek Ltd., Brazil, provided geotechnical instrumentation for safety and risk assessment monitoring at Catalão Mine, an open-pit phosphate mine in Brazil. Located at coordinates 18°7'44"S 47°48'11"W, the mine produces phosphate rock, Apatite, and trace metals like niobium. The instrumentation included piezometers, inclinometers, and settlement plates, supporting ongoing safety measures and risk management. This real-time data aids in assessing mine stability and minimizing potential hazards.
