Chutak Hydroelectric Project

The Chutak Hydroelectric Project, commissioned in 2011, features a run-of-the-river design with a barrage, underground powerhouse, headrace tunnel, and penstock. Encardio Rite supplied and installed essential geotechnical instrumentation, including piezometers, borehole extensometers (mechanical and electronic), load cells, water level recorders, and portable readout units. These instruments support real-time monitoring and proactive management of key project components, ensuring operational efficiency and the long-term safety of the Chutak Hydroelectric Project.

The Chutak Hydroelectric Project is a run-of-the-river power project. The project was commissioned in February 2011. The project involved a barrage, an underground powerhouse, a headrace tunnel, and a penstock.

Encardio-rite was awarded the complete monitoring work that included supply, installation, and monitoring of several sensors that included piezometers, water level recorder, borehole extensometers (mechanical and electronic; single and 3 point), load cells, and portable readout units.
