Srisailam Hydroelectric Project

The Srisailam Hydroelectric Project, one of the largest hydroelectric projects in India, spans the Krishna River. Encardio Rite supplied a range of geotechnical instruments, including piezometers, strain meters, inclinometers, and more for continuous monitoring of the dam, power stations, and critical components. The instrumentation ensures real-time data collection, helping to monitor structural health and optimize the operation of the power station, ensuring safety and efficiency in this vital infrastructure project.

Srisailam Hydroelectric Project

The Srisailam Dam, constructed across the Krishna River Srisailam project is the 12th largest capacity hydro-electric project in the country. The 512 m long and 145 m high dam was constructed in a deep gorge, approximately. 300 m above sea level. The left bank hydroelectric power station generates 6 X 150 MW of power, and the right bank generates 7 X 110 MW of power.

Encardio-rite carried out the execution of complete monitoring work for the project. We supplied a variety of sensors that included an inclinometer, piezometer, multi-point borehole extensometer, vibrating wire joint meter, load cell, borehole stress meter, plumb lines, and portable readout units.
